Hi Guys,
Today's poem is a little bit different, I find. I find it very different from my other poems, so it may be off putting. I'm not sure. But here it is anyways, it is a Free Verse (I know, it probably seems like that is all I ever write) titled "Music". Here it is:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Close your eyes, breathe deeply.
Let the sound reach into your heart,
Caressing your mind,
Enveloping your body in an other-worldly sense.
Listen to the music,
Let it awaken your inner being,
Feel it touch your soul,
Disrupting all you have ever known.
Find yourself in another place,
Let your heart guide you,
To a place of profanity,
Awakening your senses from their slumber.
Drift into a state of confusion,
Let the dynamics pierce your mind,
Making you change your opinion of the world,
Overwhelming you with the beauty of the music.
